New Student Orientation
Welcome to WilmU Farnan School of Law!
Congratulations! We are excited to meet YOU at Wilmington University Farnan School of Law. Orientation serves as an introduction to your law school experience, acquainting you with the classroom, library, faculty, staff, and other members of the Wilmington legal community.
Admitted Student Events
Orientation 2026 will take place Monday, August 17 through Wednesday, August 19 in-person at the Farnan School of Law, located at the Brandywine Campus. Optional activities will take place on Thursday, August 20. All incoming students are expected to fully participate in the three-day orientation program. Additional required activities will be completed virtually through Canvas and AccessLex.
During orientation students will obtain ID Cards, take professional headshot photos, find your classroom(s), and enjoy the start of developing your professional image in the legal community. They will hear about the importance of the Honor Code and professionalism basics for navigating a year ahead. Our presentations will provide background on the many resources and support tools available to students for academic, financial, accessibility, health and safety needs. Faculty led presentations will assist students in preparing for the first week of class with a focus on academic study skills.
