Non-Discrimination Policy

In accordance with the policy of Wilmington University, Wilmington University School of Law prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, pregnancy, parenting or family responsibility status, marital status, age, race, color, national or ethnic origin, military status, or any other characteristic protected by law in its educational programs, admissions policies, employment practices, financial aid, or other school-administered programs. This policy is enforced by federal law under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

Title IX Policy

Wilmington University is committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive community that recognizes the value of each individual and allows persons to learn and work in an environment free from harassment and discrimination. As part of this effort, the University prohibits harassment or discrimination on the basis of sex, including biological sex, sex characteristics, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy or related conditions, and marital status. The University prohibits all forms of sex-based discrimination including, the offenses of sexual assault, dating/ domestic violence, and stalking. These offenses may also be prohibited by Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, 20 U.S. C. § 1681 et seq. (“Title IX”), by the Clery Act and Section 304 of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (“VAWA”), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other applicable statutes, to include Delaware H.B. 1.
